    Panchang Today, August 19: Auspicious time to tie the knot of Rakhi in Raksha Bandhan 2024!

    The Raksha Bandhan ceremony takes place between 1:30 and 9:08 pm. Meanwhile, the best time to tie rakhi is during Aparahna, which is expected to be done between 1:43 pm and 4:20 pm.

    AAJ KA PANCHANG, August 19, 2024: Drik Panchang said Purnima Tithi of Shukla Paksha and Pratipada Tithi of Krishna Paksha are scheduled to be held on Monday, August 19. Both Shukla Purnima and Krishna Pratipada are considered auspicious for important activities as they fall within the time frame of Shubh Muhurta.

    Twelve festivals are celebrated on this day: Raksha Bandhan, Rakhi, Gayatri Jayanti, Fifth Shravan Somwar Vrat, Rigveda Upakarma, Yajurveda Upakarma, Narali Purnima, Hayagriva Jayanti, Sanskrit Diwas, Shravana Purnima Vrat, Shravana Purnima and Anvadhan.

    Raksha Bandhan 2024: The auspicious time to tie Rakhi

    Raksha Bandhan falls on the full moon day of Shravana month or during Purnima. On this day, sisters tie rakhi to their brothers' wrists, and in response, the brothers promise to protect their sisters. Raksha Bandhan ceremony takes place between 1:30 pm and 9:08 pm. Meanwhile, the best time to tie rakhi is during Aparahna, which is expected to be done between 1:43 pm and 4:20 pm. If there is no Aparahna, Pradosh time is also right. It is expected to take place between 6:56 and 9:08 p.m.

    When undertaking any important event, always consider tithes and auspicious and inauspicious timing.

    August 19 sunrise, sunset, moonrise, moonset

    The sun is expected to rise at 5:53 a.m. and set at 6:56 p.m. Meanwhile, moonrise is expected to occur at 6:56 PM, and there will be no moonset.

    Details of TITHI, NAKSHATRA and Rashi on August 19

    Purnima Tithi is scheduled to continue till 11:55 pm, after which it will transition to Pratipada Tithi. The auspicious Shravana Nakshatra is expected to last till 8.10 am, followed by the Dhanishtha Nakshatra till 5.45 am on August 20. The moon is expected to be in Makara Rashi by 7:00 pm, after which it will move to Kumbha Rashi. At the same time, the sun is expected to appear over Simha Rashi.

    Shubh Muhurat on August 19

    Brahma Muhurta is expected to take place from 4:25 to 5:09 am, followed by Pratah Sandhya Muhurta from 4:47 to 5:53 am and Vijaya Muhurta from 2:35 to 3:27 pm. Godhuli Muhurta is expected to be held from 6:56 to 7:18 pm, while Ravi Yoga is expected to be held from 5:53 to 8:10 am. Sayahna Sandhya Muhurta is scheduled from 6:56 pm to 8:02 pm. Nishita Muhurta is scheduled for August 20 from 12:03 to 12:47 noon.

    Asub Muhurat on August 19

    Rahu Kalam Muhurta is expected to be held from 7:30 am to 9:08 am, Yamaganda Muhurta is expected to be held from 10:46 am to 12:24 pm and Gulikai Kalam Muhurta is expected to be held from 2:02 pm to 3:40 pm. Dur Muhurtam is expected to be held from 12:51 pm to 1:43 pm and from 3:27 pm to 4:20 pm. Baana Muhurta is expected to stay in Agni till 10:47 pm. Bhadra is scheduled to be held on August 20 from 5:53 am to 1:32 pm and Panchaka from 7:00 pm to 5:53 am.
