Sanjay Roy, who was arrested for allegedly raping and murdering a 31-year-old trainee PG doctor at Kolkata's RG Kar MCH, had “beaten his ex-wife”, his mother-in-law claimed. She also claimed that Sanjay “beat” his wife, who was three months pregnant, causing her to miscarry. She demanded that Sanjay be “hanged” for his crimes.
“My relationship with him was very tense… They were married for two years… His marriage to my daughter was his second marriage… Initially, for six months everything was fine.
