In recognition of this achievement, the Department of Fisheries (DoF), Government of India (GoI), organized a series of workshops and demonstrations to create awareness about the application of space technology in the fisheries sector.
Previously, a notice issued by the Ministry of Aerospace and Space stated that with the success of the Chandrayaan-3 mission, India became the first country to land near the south pole of the moon.
“With the success of the Chandrayaan-3 mission on August 23, 2023, the landing of the Vikram lander and the deployment of the Pragyan rover on the lunar surface, India has joined the ranks of an elite group of aerospace nations,” the notification said. , becoming the fourth aerospace country.”
