The parents refused to elaborate on what they disclosed to the CBI but said former principal of RG Kar Medical College and Hospital Sandip Ghosh must have been accused of destroying evidence.
The parents of a trainee doctor who was allegedly raped and murdered at RG Kar Medical College and Hospital on August 9 have given details to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) about their claims against the former principal of the college Sandip Ghosh and his top brass. of suspicious colleagues, including the medical director and assistant director.
Speaking to CNN-News18, the victim's father said, “We have lodged complaints with the principal, MSVP, supervisor… We have reported our suspicions against each of them to the CBI.”

“Destruction of Evidence, the Role of Insiders”
“This matter is subjective, so I can't tell you much about what we told the CBI, but we have held the department accountable. The CBI is investigating their culpability…Evidence has been destroyed. Our constitution provides for the destruction of evidence. punishment. I will stick to my beliefs.
The mother said they also expressed suspicion of “insiders”. The parents claimed that arrested accused Sanjay Roy was just a scapegoat and an insider was involved in the horrific crime. “Agency officials are seeking some time to unravel this conspiracy. We have told the CBI who the insider may be…but I cannot disclose the details,” she said.
“CBI officials told me they are working hard to gather evidence to support our suspicion that multiple people were involved in this crime,” she added.
Tear pages of notepad
A notepad found near the doctor's body is being investigated by the Central Bureau of Investigation, the parents said. Several pages of the notepad were torn. “We got a photo of a torn page through the police. We don't know the contents of the other torn pages. We have handed over the photo to the CBI,” the mother said.

The family suspects that the notepad may have been tampered with. A laptop, a mobile phone and the notepad were found next to the body.

The family thanked the Supreme Court for its intervention and expressed hope that the status report sought on Thursday would provide some clues on the direction of the CBI investigation. Parents said they received a call from the West Bengal governor on Tuesday, who also assured them of all support.

Parents told CNN-News18 they hope the unrest started by students and doctors across the country will continue. “We hope that the unrest will continue until justice is served,” the mother said.
