But according to the statement of the fourth minor in the charge sheet, he escaped after the accident when a group of goons pulled them out of the car and started beating them. He hailed an autorickshaw and reached home.
A police officer also confirmed that there were three underage friends of the teenager in the car, and one of them managed to escape.
While the teenage driver was released from observation, his parents and seven others have been arrested in connection with the case.
