The authorities were alarmed by reports of an alleged robbery of Rs 18 lakh in Gudiari area of Raipur in Chhattisgarh on Sunday, August 18. got money. Urla CSP Mani Shankar Chandra revealed that the woman, Swati Kesarwani, had been consulting Tantra Vijay Pandey amid marital discord. Taking advantage of the situation, Pandey convinced Kesavani to provide Rs 30 lakh for a ritual which he claimed would solve their problems. Kesarwani agreed and handed over Rs 16 lakh in cash and jewelery worth Rs 2-3 lakh.
According to police, Kesavani was going through marital problems and sought guidance from tantra Vijay Pandey to maintain peace in the family. The Tantra warned her that her husband was performing a ritual that could lead to the death of her and her children. In exchange for 3 million rupees, he promised to perform rituals to avert this disaster and restore peace and happiness. The woman believed what he said and agreed.

Pandey instructed Kesavani to concoct a robbery story as a cover. Following advice, she reported to police on Sunday morning that four thieves broke into her home from the roof at 3am, tied her up with a rope and stole money and jewellery. She described them as wearing black clothing.
After investigation, the police revealed the truth and Kesavani admitted the deception to her husband. The authorities subsequently arrested Tantrik Vijay Pandey from Bhatgaon and recovered the stolen cash and jewellery. The police also found that Pandey bought two new scooters worth Rs 2.5 lakh.
KK Kushwaha police chief confirmed the seizure of the scooters and stressed that the case highlighted the risk of individuals taking advantage of a personal crisis to commit fraud.
