A Sultanpur court on Tuesday strongly objected to Aam Aadmi Party MP Sanjay Singh's absence from the hearing of a 20-year-old case and ordered the police to arrest and hand him over on August 28 .
Non-bailable arrest warrants were issued on August 13 against Singh, Samajwadi Party leader Anup Sundar and four others, with a hearing scheduled for Tuesday. However, the defendant did not appear in court.
“The court has directed the police to arrest all the accused and produce them before August 28,” a court official told PTI.
