An object fell from an Indian Air Force fighter jet in Pokhran area of Jaisalmer district in Rajasthan on Wednesday.
Authorities said the incident occurred in a remote area and caused no damage to life or property.
“Due to a technical glitch, an Indian Air Force (IAF) fighter jet inadvertently released air reserves near the Pokhran range today,” the Indian Air Force (IAF) said in a release on 'X'.
The Indian Air Force said it had ordered an investigation into the incident. However, it did not disclose the exact nature of the “sky store”.
Shankar Lal, sub-inspector of Ramdevra police station, said some people heard a loud bang about a kilometer away from the village and rushed to the spot to find debris of objects lying around.
