A landslide occurred at Dipu Dara near Singtam around 7 a.m., causing severe damage to the plant of NHPC's Teesta Phase 5 hydropower project.
A massive landslide hit eastern Sikkim on Tuesday, damaging parts of a 510-megawatt hydropower project on the Teesta river, officials said.
They said a landslide occurred at Dipu Dara near Singtam around 7 am, causing severe damage to the power plant of NHPC's Teesta phase-5 hydropower project.
The landslide also damaged around 17 to 18 houses, following which the affected families were shifted to the NHPC quarters, they added.
