Amid ongoing outrage over the rape and murder of a Kolkata doctor, the new principal of RG Kar Medical College and Hospital Suhrita Pal and others were sacked at the behest of students. Apart from this, the appointment of former principal Sandip Ghosh as principal of the National Medical College, Kolkata has also been cancelled.
