A bench comprising Chief Justice DY Chandrachud and Justices JB Pardiwala and Manoj Misra resumed hearing in the case of rape and murder of a trainee doctor at RG Kar Medical College and Hospital in Kolkata.
Lawyers for the resident doctors of Nagpur Hospital told the bench that they were victims of protests over the rape-murder case in Kolkata.

- “Once they return to work, we will convince the authorities not to take adverse action. If doctors are not working, how will the public health infrastructure function,” the bench said.
- The concerns of the doctors have to be addressed by the committee…One thing about the committee is to have a lot of women on the committee so that the voices can be heard.
- We will observe that the Committee has heard the views of all members and the RDA. Please assure the doctors that we will make their views heard by the committee through the order.
