Kolkata doctor rape and murder scene updates: The new principal of RG Kar Medical College and Hospital, head of the thoracic department Suhrita Paul and an assistant dean have been sacked by the Bangladesh health department following student protests.
Following the Supreme Court order, around 150 personnel of the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) have been deployed at RG Kar Medical College and Hospital in Kolkata.
Soon after Suhrita Paul was removed, Manas Bandopadhaye, a 31-year-old trainee doctor at the medical college, was appointed as the new principal of the medical college. He was found raped and murdered on September 9th. Ghosh is currently under investigation by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) for mishandling a rape-murder case.
OPD services continued to take a hit as doctors' protests continued in different states on Wednesday. The IT Ministry has asked social media platforms to immediately comply with the Supreme Court order and delete the names, photos and videos of the trainee doctor who was raped and murdered at RG Kar Medical College and Hospital in Kolkata.
