In the Prajwal Revanna sex scandal case, it was reported that a total of 56 women were sexually assaulted by JDS MPs. Among them, four victims have bravely come forward to complain against him.
According to police sources, News18 has learned that the Special Investigation Team (SIT) of the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) will file three more charges against Prajwal. The SIT filed the first preliminary charge sheet against Prajwal and his father HD Revanna in the Special Elected Representatives Court on August 23. An official involved in the investigation said the remaining charge sheet was expected to be completed by the end of this month. Prajwal has been in SIT custody since May 31, 2024, and was remanded to judicial custody on June 18.
During the course of investigation, the SIT found that the crimes were committed between 2019 and 2021 when Prajwal was serving as Hassan MP.
An SIT officer noted, “He targeted women from or related to Hassan because he believed he could control them if something went wrong.”
The SIT used technology and forensic techniques to analyze nearly 3,000 film clips and photos documenting the alleged attack. The videos were reportedly circulated on Hasan's pen drive and surfaced in the same week as the Lok Sabha elections on May 7.

Another JDS employee accused Prajwal of raping her inside Hasan's official quarters, recording the entire process, and blackmailing her into having further sexual intercourse between January 2021 and April 2024.
A housewife seeking admission for her son has become the fourth woman to accuse Prajwal of sexual harassment. On May 31, ten days after his arrest, she filed an FIR following several complaints. She claims Prajwal asked for her phone number during a meeting about her son's hospitalization and soon began forcing her to have virtual sex via video chat. This allegedly happened eight to 10 times between October 2019 and 2020, and she was threatened to release the recordings if she refused.

HD Revanna was also charged with sexual harassment under Section 354 of the Indian Penal Code. He was arrested on May 4 and later released on bail. One of the survivors, a maid, was allegedly kidnapped and held captive in the Revana family farmhouse. She escaped and filed a statement accusing HD Revanna of kidnapping her to silence her. He was arrested on May 5 for kidnapping, becoming the first family member of former Prime Minister Deve Gowda to be imprisoned. Revana's wife and Prajwal's mother Bhavani has also been accused of involvement in the kidnapping.
“The SIT conducted a comprehensive investigation, examined over 150 witnesses and recorded statements under Section 164 of the CrPC,” a senior SIT official said, adding that Prajwal used his personal mobile phone The attacks were filmed but electronic evidence was later destroyed.
