Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Maharashtra's Jalgaon on Sunday to congratulate the 1.1 million new 'Lakhpati Didis' who achieved this target during the third term of his government.
Modi will also release a revolving fund of Rs 2,500 crore that will benefit around 4.8 million members of 4.3 lakh self-help groups (SHGs), a statement said on Saturday.
He will disburse bank loans of Rs 5,000 crore, which will benefit 2.58 million members of 2.35 lakh SHGs, the report added.
Since the launch of the “Lakhpati Didis” (women members of self-help groups earning Rs 1 lakh per annum) scheme, 10,000 million women have joined the ranks.
The government has set a target of producing “Lakhpati Didis” worth Rs 3 crore.
Modi will also visit Rajasthan and attend the concluding ceremony of the Platinum Jubilee Celebrations of the Rajasthan High Court at the Jodhpur High Court campus as the chief guest.
He will also inaugurate the High Court Museum, the statement said.
