    Prime Minister Modi's remarks came as thousands of women across the country took to the streets to demand justice in the brutal rape and murder of a 31-year-old doctor in Kolkata.

    Prime Minister Narendra Modi said on Sunday that the safety of women in India was of paramount importance and he had repeatedly told state governments that “crimes against women are unforgivable crimes”.

    Addressing the Lakhpati Didi Sammelan in Jalgaon, Maharashtra, Prime Minister Modi said, “Apart from empowering mothers, sisters and daughters, their safety is also the top priority of the country. I have visited the Red Fort many times Raise the question. Today, I understand the pain and anger of my sisters and my daughters, in every state in this country, and I will tell every political party and every state government in the country that crimes against women are unacceptable.     The prime minister added that the guilty should be pardoned, as should anyone who helped them in any way. Whether in a hospital, school, government or police system, any level of negligence must be addressed and everyone involved held accountable. A clear message must be sent from top to bottom that this crime is inexcusable.

    Prime Minister Modi's remarks came as thousands of women across the country took to the streets to demand justice in the brutal rape and murder of a 31-year-old doctor in Kolkata.

    Prime Minister Modi interacted with “Lakhpati Didis” (female members of self-help groups who earn Rs 1 lakh per annum) in Jalgaon, Maharashtra on Sunday.

    The Prime Minister attended an event to celebrate the 1.1 million new Lakhpati Didis who achieved this goal in the government's third term.

    Talking about women's safety, Prime Minister Modi said that his government is constantly enacting stricter laws to provide the harshest punishment to those who commit atrocities against women.

    “Today, sisters and daughters from so many countries are here. I want to tell you this especially. There have been complaints before that flight information officers were not registered on time, there were no hearings, and the cases were delayed.     Addressing Rakhpati Didi Sameeran in Jalgaon, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said: “You must have heard that India is going to be the third largest economy in the world. Women play a huge role in it. However, few This was not the case years ago. Women ensured the prosperity of every home and every family. However, no one guaranteed help to these women. If they had to take a loan from a bank, they could not avail it.

    “In this situation, they cannot build their own small businesses. Year after year, the decisions we make are in the interest of women. Previously, tens of millions of sisters in this country did not have any property to their names. If They have to go to the bank for a loan and they won't get it. Even if they want to do something small, they can't. That's why your brother, your son, I decided, no matter what. Whatever happens, I will reduce every difficulty faced by the mothers, sisters and daughters of our country. Therefore, the Modi government has taken a series of decisions in the interest of women.
