In a shocking incident, a Kisan Express train traveling from Firozpur to Dhanbad split into two and 13 out of 22 coaches were left behind in Uttar Pradesh's Bijnor district on Sunday. .
The incident, which occurred near Chakrajmal in Bijnor around 4 am due to a broken coupling, caused panic among the passengers on the bus, especially those sitting on separate compartments.
The split resulted in the engine and eight coaches going to Seohara railway station, while 13 coaches, including guard coaches, were left near Chakrajmal. The buses were carrying hundreds of passengers as well as police recruitment candidates, but fortunately no one was injured in the incident.

After the guard discovered the situation, he quickly notified the train driver and the police. Railway officials and police personnel rushed to the spot to deal with the problem. Four buses were arranged to take the candidates to Bareilly.
Superintendent of Police Dharam Singh Marchal reported that the Kisan Express (13308) was traveling from Firozpur to Dhanbad and the incident took place in Seohara police station area.
According to railway officials, the accident occurred due to a technical glitch and efforts are on to connect the two halves of the train. The work will be completed shortly and trains will continue running.
Train splitting disrupted rail line services for several hours. As a result, the Jananayak Express train was suspended at Habibwala and the Punjab Mail train was suspended at Dhampur for nearly two hours, leaving passengers anxious and uncertain about their travel plans. Railroad officials are working to restore normal operations.
