An angry boyfriend beat his partner to death in a fit of rage because she didn't cook his favorite dish. The incident took place in Vidya Nagar area of Chitrakoot district in Uttar Pradesh where the couple lives.
The boyfriend, identified as Vijay Raidas, was in a drunken state at the time of the incident. He has been in a live-in relationship with his girlfriend Sapna Raikwar for the past one and a half years.
According to reports, the late woman Sapna Raikwar was married to a man named Rooplal ten years ago. She had two children from this marriage. However, Sapna left her husband and filed a case against him.
While Vijay Raidas was fighting a legal battle with Sapna, they became close and fell in love. The couple lives in a rented house in Vidya Nagar.
Police who rushed to the spot after the incident took Raidas into custody. Superintendent of Police Arun Kumar Singh said a case was registered after Sapna Raikwar's father lodged a complaint against the accused. He added that further legal action would be taken.
