Police said five unidentified men robbed the store and opened fire. Three people inside the store were shot and injured, and the store owner died of his injuries in hospital.
The owner of a jewelry store in Rajasthan was shot dead during a robbery when five people burst into his store and pointed guns at him and two others. The incident, which took place at the Central Market in Bhiwadi area of Khairthal-Tijara district on Friday (August 23), was captured on the shop's CCTV camera.

The police identified the deceased as Jai Soni, who was present at Kamlesh Jewelers along with his brother Madhusudan Soni and guard Sujan Singh when the theft took place around 7.30 pm. Police said five unidentified men drove into the store and attacked three people.
According to police, the accused robbed the store and opened fire, in which Jay, Madhusudan and Sujan were injured. Jay died of his injuries at the hospital, they said.
Jay reportedly attacked the defendants as they were robbing the store. The robbers then ran outside and got into their car, but Jay followed and tried to drag them out, which is when they shot him.
Jaipur Inspector General of Police Anil Kumar Tank said a police team has been formed to search and identify the accused based on CCTV footage. He added that the injured were receiving treatment at a local hospital.
Traders associations are holding protests after the incident, demanding the immediate arrest of the accused. BJP MP Baba Balaknath and senior police officials reached the protest site to hold talks with traders and resolve the issues.
