A Thane district court on Monday remanded the man arrested for allegedly sexually abusing two minor girls at a school in Bhadrapur town to 14-day judicial custody, a police officer said.

The court remanded him in custody for 14 days and sent him to jail, the official said.
Relatedly, some members of the school's management have been charged in the case, another police officer said, without giving further details.
The defendant worked as a waiter at the school where the incident occurred earlier this month and was arrested on August 17.
According to the police complaint, he sexually abused two kindergarten girls in a school bathroom.

Following the protests, the Maharashtra government announced the formation of a Special Investigation Team (SIT) headed by senior IPS officer Arti Singh to investigate the incident.
At least 25 policemen were injured in stone-pelting at the railway station and other areas of Bhadrapur during the protests.
