According to Sadhguru, Krishna may have been dark-skinned, but many describe him as blue because of his blue aura. Sadhguru claims that it is Krishna's blue aura that makes him unconventionally attractive to others.
Krishna Janmashtami is one of the most auspicious Hindu festivals and is celebrated with great enthusiasm in many parts of India, especially in Dwarka, Vrindavan, Mathura and Barsana. This day commemorates the birth of Lord Krishna, the eighth incarnation of Lord Vishnu.
According to the Hindu lunar calendar, Krishna Janmashtami is celebrated on the eighth day of the dark fortnight in the month of Bhadrapada in August or September. Dahi Handi celebrations are some of the popular celebrations to commemorate this sacred event. On this day, devotees pray to Lord Krishna and seek His blessings. This year Krishna Janmashtami falls on August 26.
Krishna is depicted as a god with blue skin. But have you ever thought about the reason behind it? According to Sadhguru, founder of Isha Foundation, blue is an all-encompassing hue. When you gaze at things that are huge and beyond your perception, you will find that they are generally depicted in blue, that is, the blue sky and the deep ocean. According to mythology, like Krishna, Shiva and Rama also have blue skin.
Sadhguru revealed that this color shows that these gods have a blue aura.
The concept that Krishna is blue does not necessarily mean that his skin color is that specific color. In fact, the aura of God is already expressed through the color of His skin. According to Sadhguru, Krishna may have been dark-skinned, but many describe him as blue because of his blue aura.
Sadhguru claims that it is Krishna's blue aura that makes him unconventionally attractive to others. Even the enemies unintentionally surrendered to Krishna because they saw in Krishna the all-encompassing blue.
According to mythology, Poothana, a demon who wanted to kill the infant Krishna, found himself attracted to him, completely enchanted by the god's blue magic.
