'Paschimbanga Chhatro Samaj' calls for massive protest march – 'Nabanno Abhiyaan (March to Secretariat)' on Tuesday against RG Kar incident
Kolkata Police on August 27 issued a warning after a 31-year-old PG trainee doctor was raped and murdered at the city's RG Kar Medical College and Hospital on August 9.
The 'Paschimbanga Chhatro Samaj' has called for a massive protest march – 'Nabanno Abhiyaan (March to the Secretariat)' on Tuesday against the RG Kar incident. The protest will see thousands of students and activists march from College Square to the state secretariat.

- Vehicles coming along NH 16 from the Kolaghat side and intending to utilize the Second Hooghly Bridge can take the Nibedita Setu from Nibra to Kolkata.
- Vehicles coming from the Dankuni side can take the Nibedita Setu to Kolkata if they plan to use the Second Hooghly Bridge.
- Vehicles traveling from Howrah Railway Station to Kolkata, if they plan to pass through Howrah Bridge or Second Hooghly Bridge, can go to Kolkata via GT Road and pass through Nibedita Setu.
- If vehicles traveling from Kolkata to Howrah plan to pass through the Second Hooghly Bridge or the Howrah Bridge, they can take the Nibedita Setu.
Vehicle movement will be restricted on the following roads:
1. Kona Highway between Nibla and Second Hooghly Bridge
2. Andul Road between Alampur and Lakshmi Narayantala Mor
3. GT Highway between Mallick Fatak and Betaitala
4. Between Mandirtala and Second Hooghly Bridge
5. Between Kazpara and Second Hooghly Bridge
6. Foreshore Road – Kazipara to Ramkrishnapur Crossing
7. Howrah Railway Station to Grand Foreshore Road
8. HM Bose Road/RB Setu/ HIT Bridge to Howrah Bridge Kolkata side
9. HIT bridge RB Setu
10. MB Road to NS Roa Mallick Fatak
