India is a country where people of all religions live in harmony and brotherhood and is a perfect example of religious tolerance and secularism. We often see Muslims celebrating Hindu festivals and vice versa. Before this, we saw people from the Muslim community taking the initiative to perform Durga Puja in Kolkata. Today, we will talk about a Muslim man who was recently seen performing rituals on the auspicious occasion of Janmashtami. The person we are talking about in this article is Bapu Shokat Tasewale. He is 58 years old and a resident of Ugar Khurd town in Belagavi district of Karnataka. He is a farmer by profession and also a stage artist. In a recent interview with Local 18, he mentioned that he has been performing in the play Sri Krishna Parijata since he was 18 years old. He also said that he has an idol of the deity in his house and worships it every day.

This man set an example for many across the country. Despite his different religious beliefs, his devotion to Lord Krishna was unwavering. If you visit his home you can see pictures of Hindu gods and goddesses like Krishna, Rama, Shiva Parvati, Lakshmi Narayana, Hanuman and Sri… Shiva Yoga. He worshiped each of them with great devotion and performed all the rites.

Bapu said he believed in the saying “God has many names.” His faith is fully supported by his wife Amina Begum and daughter Pramila. The 58-year-old added that his entire family believes in Krishna. Locals in the area also greatly respect his dedication.

With the support of the villagers, he also built a Krishna temple where worship was performed daily and Lord Krishna was served, promoting communal harmony and brotherhood. His profound devotion to Lord Krishna earned him the admiration of spiritual leader Sri Chandrashekhar.
