A video of a man sleeping on a functioning railway track in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh, has circulated on the Internet and caught the attention of netizens.
In the video shared on X, a man holding an umbrella can be seen falling asleep on the functioning railway tracks. Soon, a train approached the track where the man was resting, but due to the vigilance of the locomotive driver, the train stopped in time to avoid the man being run over by the speeding transport.

The locomotive driver stopped the train in time. Then he struck the note of humanity and awakened the sleeping man. The man was then removed from the tracks and the train passed.
According to a report in Free Press, the incident took place in the Mau Aimma area of Prayagraj district of Lucknow division of Northern Railway. Despite honking the horn, the sleeping man did not respond.
A video of the incident went viral on X, with more than 780,000 views, with some users commenting that the man was “crazy.” One user said the man was drunk, while another called for a serious investigation into the matter and the implementation of proper rail safety practices. One user wrote that the man was “just trying to get his life on track.”
Some netizens also recognized the efforts of the motorcycle pilot. “My tribute to such a crazy pilot. The poor guy stopped the train, then woke the man up, lifted him up and moved him off the tracks,” they wrote.
