The Hyderabad Disaster Relief and Asset Monitoring and Protection (HYDRAA) authorities on Saturday started demolition of the N Convention Center in Actor Akkineni Nagarjuna in Madhapur area of Rangareddy district of Telangana. The actor called the demolition “illegal” in a statement and filed a lawsuit in the High Court, which ordered a stay on the demolition.
The operation is part of an ongoing drive to demolish illegal structures encroaching on water bodies and public lands in the state. The demolition work began in the early hours of Saturday and Hydra officials, accompanied by a team of police personnel, arrived at the site to ensure that the demolition process proceeds without interruption.

High Court orders stay of execution
As claimed by Nagarjuna's team, the Telangana High Court on Saturday intervened on the actor's petition and ordered a stay on the demolition. A statement issued by his team read, “The High Court ordered a stay on the demolition of the building owned by N-Convention Nagarjuna. The actor approached the court for a stay order and it was granted. Justice T Vinod Kumar presided over the inquiry. High Court An interim order has been issued to halt the demolition.

Actor calls move 'illegal'
The actor expressed anger and said the demolition was carried out illegally. Nagarjuna said in a post on To protect my reputation and make it clear that we are not doing anything illegal.
Nagarjuna claimed that the land on which the property was built was Patta land and there was no encroachment on the land for the tank project.
“The land is Patta land and not even an inch of the tank car plan has been encroached upon. A stay order has been issued against any previous illegal demolition notices as far as structures constructed within private land are concerned. Today it is clear that the demolition operation It was done incorrectly based on misinformation,” he said.

He also claimed that no prior notice was given before the demolition was carried out. The actor said he would challenge the lawsuit in court.

Over the years, N-Convention's management has faced accusations of using its influence to bypass regulatory actions by the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) and other higher authorities, thus avoiding the consequences of its encroachments.
Several news reports stated that illegal structures were demolished in the FTL and buffer zones of Gandipet Lake earlier this week.
