Kannada actor Darshan may be shifted to another jail in state
Kannada actor Darshan Thoogudeepa is in judicial custody in connection with a murder case over a photo showing the actor with three others, including a rowdy sheet worker, at Palapana Hanging out on the lawns of Agrahara Center, he was shifted to Bellary Jail.
The photo sparked a massive controversy over the actor's alleged special treatment.
In the photo, the actor is seen sitting on a chair with a cigarette and coffee cup in his hands. Apart from this, a video has also surfaced on social media of Darshan allegedly having a video chat with someone from jail.
“In the Darshan case, we have asked for an inquiry and nine people, including the Inspector General of Prisons, have been suspended. If others have to be (suspended), we will do the same,” Chief Minister Siddaramaiah said .
