After the gruesome details of the rape case of a young doctor at RG Ka Medical College came to light, many actors across the country have expressed concerns about women's safety. Now, Arijit Singh has also joined the protests and composed a song that has gone viral and created a buzz on social media.
Sources revealed that singer Tum Hi Ho composed the song at his studio in Jiaganj, Murshidabad. Several fan pages shared videos of the singer sharing the live broadcast. During the live meeting, Arijit Singh expressed his concerns, “Just taking to the streets is not enough. Everybody is out there. We are all here. But it should not lead to chaos. If things get counterproductive, That won't help if someone wants to take advantage, which they might do, he added: “You need to think and act wisely. “
He further mentioned, “This problem is happening in my state, my country, my hometown.” He urged transparency and talked about how helpless it feels. The singer shared that since he couldn't take to the streets to protest, he felt powerless. But he stressed that voices should not be silenced. He urged everyone to ensure that the reason for the protest is not lost and that everyone must remain united.
The caption read: “Arijit Singh – I'm a little scared.” Many comments suggested that the video was not live but was fully edited. Others, meanwhile, were furious that the singer did not choose to speak out in protest. One user wrote: “You could have taken to the streets to protest and you would have seen the whole country on your side.” Another wrote: “Well never leave your house when you are scared ”
