    Guterres Donga

United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres warned on Tuesday that a “climate crisis” threatens human life around the world due to rising sea levels and flooding. [emphasis, links added]

The UN alarmist says on X, calling on the world to “take urgent climate action now” He “sends a global distress call: save our oceans from rising sea levels” from the Polynesian kingdom of Tonga.

Guterres went on to point out that global mean sea level “is rising at a rate unprecedented in the past 3,000 years” and that relative sea level in the southwest Pacific “is rising even more than the global average.”

A few days in Tonga gave me first-hand experience of how people here live with the effects of the climate crisis on a regular basis:

From heavy rains and flash floods to rising sea levels forcing families to relocate.

“Greenhouse gases, produced primarily by burning fossil fuels, are cooking our planet,“He said in his characteristic dramatic style. “Literally, the ocean is absorbing heat. “

“Sea level rise is a crisis entirely of human origin that will soon reach almost unimaginable proportions,” the Portuguese socialist believes. “If we save the Pacific, we save ourselves.”

The New York Times finally admits the truth: The “lost island” is not gone

Contrary to Guterres’ dramatic statement, Recent research shows that despite rising sea levels, many islands are not shrinking as alarmists predicted, but are remaining stable or even growing.

In a June 26 article titled “The Vanishing Island That Failed to Disappear,” new york times Climate journalist Raymond Chung documents the surprising discovery Atoll nations—such as the Maldives, the Marshall Islands, and Tuvalu—seemed destined to disappear—but somehow didn't.

Still, Guterres continues to urge rich countries to pay climate compensation for the consequences of climate change in developing countries.

He also repeated his warnings of coming climate catastrophe in more dramatic terms.

UN chief says: 'I will never forget the climate-related carnage I witnessed after catastrophic floods inundated a third of Pakistan' point out X month 2023. “I call on donors and international financial institutions to honor their financial commitments and support recovery efforts as quickly as possible.”

“The climate emergency is threatening the survival of communities and economies that rely on tourism,” he said It also calls for “green investment” and “investment in sustainable tourism.”

Guterres also believes that mankind must urgently find a solution to global warming because It “opens the gates of hell.”
