The Mumbai Traffic Police has issued an important advisory to city commuters, warning that traffic around the Bandra-Kurla Complex (BKC) will be severely disrupted due to the Global Fintech Festival 2024 being held at the Jio World Convention Centre.
The high-profile event, scheduled to take place from August 28 to 30, is expected to attract large crowds and generate significant vehicle movement in the area.
The transport department said congestion in BKC will increase from 9am to 8pm until August 30, which may result in longer travel times for people passing through the area. In view of this, commuters are urged to avoid BKC Avenue during these hours.

Traffic police also recommended alternative routes. Jogeshwari-Vikhroli Link Road (JVLR), Santa Cruz-Chembur Link Road (SCLR) and Eastern Expressway have been suggested as viable options to circumvent traffic bottlenecks.
