India's second nuclear-powered ballistic missile submarine was commissioned into the Navy on Thursday in the presence of Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, who said it would further strengthen India's nuclear triad and enhance nuclear deterrence.

The Indian Defense Ministry said in a statement that the second Arihant-class submarine “INS Arighaat” was commissioned in Visakhapatnam on Thursday in the presence of Defense Minister Rajnath Singh.

Singh was full of confidence in his speech, believing that “Ali Khat” will “further strengthen India's nuclear triad, enhance nuclear deterrence, help establish regional strategic balance and peace, and play a decisive role in national security.”
