A 13-year-old boy died when an iron rod from a house under construction fell on his head. Police said on Thursday (August 29) that based on the complaint lodged by the boy's father Rajesh Rai from Buxar in Bihar, the police have lodged a complaint against the landlord Gaurav Sharma and His uncle Devdutt Sharma made the registration.
Station house officer (SHO) Amit Bhadana said the incident took place on August 23 around 5 pm when Rohit was passing a house under construction near Nagar Dairy in front of Balwant Chowk when an iron rod fell on him on the head.
Badana said the boy was taken to Noida District Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries during treatment. Rai claimed in his complaint that the accident occurred due to careless construction without safety arrangements, police said.
Based on the complaint, an FIR has been registered under Section 106(1) (Death due to negligence) and Section 290 (Negligence during construction or repair of building) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
