Police arrested individuals involved in the manufacture and sale of domestically produced firearms.

The issue of domestically produced guns has become a topic of discussion across Telangana. Police have been conducting searches in various places to catch criminals involved in arms trading. Several earlier reports suggested that hundreds of people were involved in these illegal professions. After weeks of investigation, police recently arrested a person involved in manufacturing the guns, according to media reports. Officials also arrested two men who reportedly purchased the firearms. Rajanna Sircilla District Superintendent of Police Akhil Mahajan revealed that the police arrested individuals involved in manufacturing and selling country-made firearms. Currently, the gangster has been detained by the police. SP Akhil Mahajan gave details about the arrest at a press conference at Rajanna Sircilla district police station.

According to police officials, the arrested person’s name is Rayalingu Shankar. He is a resident of Gajasingaram village in Gambhiraopet mandal. He was reportedly involved in the manufacture and sale of domestically produced firearms. He sells these guns to people who are addicted to hunting wild animals.

Police officials told a news conference that when they arrived at Rayalingu's home, they found him making a gun. A number of tools were recovered from his home to support the police version. Officers found two gun barrels, a file, hammer, knives, whetstones, drill press, lathe and hair dryer on him. A case was registered against him and subsequent investigation was conducted by Yellareddypet Circle Inspector Srinivas.

Besides, Rayalingam Chandramouli, Shatraveni Harish and Lockheed Gangaiah, who purchased these guns from Shankar and used them for hunting animals, were also detained by the police. Police reportedly seized two guns and four trigger parts from them. SP Akhil Mahajan commended Yellareddypet CI Srinivas, Gambhiraopet SI Rammohan and their team for taking prompt action to arrest the accused. DSP Chandrasekhar Reddy, CI Srinivas, SIs Rammohan and Ramakant and other staff were also present.
