The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Friday raided various locations in Punjab in connection with the murder of VHP leader Vikas Prabhakar. The agency has not released details about the search.
Prabhakar, also known as Vikas Bagga, was shot dead on April 13 at a sweet shop in Nangal, Roopnagar district of Punjab. The NIA took over the case from the state police on May 9.
According to Press Trust of India, Dharminder Kumar alias Kunal (22) supplied illegal arms and ammunition for the high-profile murder case, in a recent coordinated operation with the Delhi Police Special Cell, NIA He was arrested from Ludhiana, Punjab.
Investigation by the NIA revealed that he procured illegal arms and ammunition from Madhya Pradesh and supplied them to the gunmen on the instructions of foreign Khalistani terrorist Harvind Kumar alias Sonu.
