Prime Minister Narendra Modi told his colleagues that attacks by political opponents of the government must be responded to with “a strong foundation”, adding that they must maintain positive energy as they celebrate the tenth anniversary of the government's landmark program.
At a ministerial meeting earlier this week, Modi praised the ministry of women and child development for its quick response to the Mamata Banerjee government when the chief minister wrote to the prime minister asking for “strengthening of anti-rape laws”.
Sources said the prime minister used this as an example to emphasize the government's “quick response” and said the response must be “fundamentally sound.” The WCD department has written to the chief minister stating that West Bengal's fast-track courts to deal with rape and POCSO cases are not functioning.
Prime Minister Modi also said that the upcoming 10th anniversary of various landmark programs of the government must be celebrated just as the Finance Ministry celebrated the “10th anniversary of Prime Minister Jan Dhan Yojana” and this model must be adopted by all.
All this is part of the Prime Minister's new “Inform” mantra, in addition to the existing government model of “Execute, Reform, Transform”. The prime minister told his team of ministers to maintain positivity and not let negativity envelope the country.

Modi also called for streamlining the state administration and organizing two-day seminars on departmental topics to be attended by state ministers. He said the Center should give direction to the political leadership of states. The Prime Minister also said at the meeting that the “ideal area” project has been dormant and should be revived by sending officials to the site.
