Incumbent Naresh Kumar, who has received two extensions from the central government, will end his term on August 31
Dharmendra, a senior IAS officer of the 1989-batch AGMUT cadre, was appointed as the new chief secretary to the Delhi government on Saturday.
According to an order issued by the Union Home Ministry, Dharmendra, who is currently the chief secretary of Arunachal Pradesh, will take over the new charge with effect from September 1 or the date of his assumption of office, whichever is later.
Current Prime Minister Naresh Kumar has received two extensions from the central government and will end his term on August 31.
