A female staff member was attacked by a female passenger at the Air India express counter at the Mumbai airport on Sunday, sources said. The passenger was later handed over to police.
An Air India Express spokesperson described the incident in a statement on Tuesday: “On September 1, a passenger at Mumbai Airport behaved inappropriately towards a staff member of our ground operations partner. The duty manager immediately informed CISF and handed over the passenger to the police as per standard operating procedure.
Sources related to the incident revealed that the passengers and staff involved were all women.
