The incident took place at Almeida compound near Pratiksha Nagar in which the victim, Javed Kallan Choudhary, died, police said.
A 30-year-old man was beaten to death by about 10 people in central Mumbai's Wadala Truck Terminal area on Tuesday night due to previous hostility, police said.
An official said two suspects were in custody.

Chaudhry had a feud with the accused over the garage issue. The official said that around 4:30 p.m., a group of eight to 10 men arrived and beat and kicked him until he passed out.
He was rushed to hospital but died during treatment, Chaudhry said.
Police are questioning two suspects and the investigation is ongoing, the official added.
