Possible motives for the plotters include “controlling the drug trade in the region” and “establishing a Christian state,” sources said
Senior intelligence sources told CNN-News18 on Wednesday that the situation in Manipur raises major security concerns and that the United States and China may be involved, with “controlling the drug trade in the region” and “creating a Christian state” as possible motives.

Sources said that both China and the United States want to dominate Asia and this economic belt is very important to achieve this goal.
They added that the Kukis first took on the garb of religion and were empowered by external forces and they would be used to create an independent state including Manipur, Mizoram, Chin State in Myanmar and the Chittagong region of Bangladesh .
“China is already using disparate borders to create tensions in India and destabilize the country,” one source said. “On the other hand, US actions in Bangladesh are recent and similar actions in India cannot be ruled out. possibility. This will stop the big story in India and the government will be more busy dealing with internal conflicts. Secondly, this internal rift will prevent India from moving closer to China in this dominance war.
