'Resistance is futile': Climate activists push for collectivism to 'solve' global warming

    collective

What do climate activists really want? Do they have only a noble crusade in mind to prevent the burning sky from descending upon us? Or is the global warming scare just another part of this revolution? [emphasis, links added]

Of course it's the latter. We know this because they keep telling us it is.

The most recent acknowledgment comes from Los Angeles Times environmental reporter Rosanna Xia, who published a grueling piece on Wednesday (yes, September 11) titled “To address climate anxiety (and climate change), we first Individualism must be addressed”.

Xia discussed at length the “climate anxiety” caused by environmental events that have plagued the planet since its inception but are now blamed on humanity's progress through the burning of fossil fuels.

She worries that if “normal” is not adequately defined, “we will never get back to normal”—perhaps because, in a world that never stops changing, there is no normal. She was angry, frustrated, helpless, and tired.

Earth is doomed, so much so that she questions “Do I have a reason to bring my child into this world.”

What's the answer to all this? Reduce individualism and increase collectivism.

Xia approvingly quotes Sarah Jaquette Ray, whom she calls “an environmental humanist who chairs the Environmental Studies Program at California State University, Humboldt,” telling us Lots of information about the current state of academia.

“A big reason why climate anxiety feels so bad is this feeling of powerlessness,” Ray said.

“But if you really see yourself as part of a collective, interconnected with all the other movements doing meaningful things, you won't feel this hopeless and alone.”

The Western character has become so feeble that group therapy is needed to protect those who wring their hands from imaginary bogeymen.

Despite her belief that individualism is the enemy, in her fear-filled tirade, Xia didn't directly demand a policy regime that would strip us of our individualism?

However, she did insist that we must “Reimagine the systems that got us into such a devastating crisis in the first place.”

In other words, give her and other climate influencers power and money, and they will turn our civil society into a political society they control.

Other alarmists have been equally vocal about their intentions. We refer readers to our previous documentation on this phenomenon:

    • Cristina Figueres, former executive secretary of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), admitted that the agenda of climate activists is not to protect the environment but to break capitalism. The task ahead, she said in 2015, was to “change the model of economic development that has dominated for at least 150 years, since the Industrial Revolution.”
    • The late Rajendra Pachauri served as Chairman of the United Nations Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change until 2015. For him, it was “more than a mission.” This is his “religion” and “dharma”.
    • Activist and influential author Naomi Klein once wondered whether fear-mongering was “our best chance of building a better world?” The world, she said, must “change, or be Change” because the “economic system” – our free and open markets – causes environmental “damage”.
    • Democratic Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez said nearly five years ago that Miami would cease to exist “in a few years” due to the effects of global warming. She certainly has a plan, not for dealing with change but for passing Democratic policy. According to The Washington Post Magazine, Saikat Chakrabarti, Ocasio-Cortez’s former chief of staff, said, “The interesting thing about the Green New Deal is that it wasn’t originally a climate issue at all. “Do you think this is a climate issue?” Chakrabarty asked an aide to Washington Gov. Jay Inslee during a meeting in a Washington, D.C., coffee shop in May. “Because we do think this is something that's going to change the entire economy.”

Climate change panic is a role in the larger revolution that the political left is determined to promote.

Here's why climate brat Greta Thunberg is also a Hamas apologist, the Black Lives Matter movement is intertwined with the demonization of Christopher Columbus, and transgender madness is a big deal for Democrats is sacred.

This is part of Obama's goal to “fundamentally change” the United States and the entire Western world.

If Harris-Walz and the Democratic Congress allow it to continue, things will end badly. That's always the case with revolutions led by power-mad villains seeking meaning for their lives.
