I have written frequently over the past few years that the agenda of the climate warning lobby in the Western world is inconsistent with maintaining democratic forms of government. [emphasis, links added]
Governments sustained by free elections, free communications, and other democratic institutions cannot engage in the long-term central planning activities required to force a transition from one form of energy and transportation system to an entirely different one.
Why? Once the negative effects of large increases in energy prices in all its forms begin to affect the masses, the masses in democratic societies will revolt, first at the ballot box and then through the ballot box if the elites do not allow this. More radical.
This is not a problem for authoritarian or totalitarian forms of government like Saudi Arabia, China, and Russia; In these countries, long-term central planning projects in which governments control the means of production are an ingrained way of life. If the people rebel, then repression is bound to come.
This social dynamic is a simple fact of life that the promoters of climate alarmism and forced energy transitions in Western societies have been unwilling to acknowledge.
However, in recent days, two key figures pushing the climate alarm narrative in the United States and Canada have agreed with my argument in public remarks.
In doing so, climate alarmists are speaking out loud about a quiet part of their true agenda.
Last week, former Obama Secretary of State and Biden climate czar John Kerry made remarks about the “questions” raised by the First Amendment of the U.S. Constitution that should make every American's hair stand on end.
Speaking about the federal government's inability to combat misinformation on large social media platforms, Kerry said:
“Our First Amendment is a major obstacle to being able to, you know, knock it down,” Adding, “I think democracies are facing very big challenges right now and haven't proven that they can act fast enough or big enough to address the challenges we face.”

Never mind that the U.S. government has long been the most targeted purveyor of disinformation and misinformation in our society. Kerry wants to stop the free flow of information online.
The most obvious targets are Elon Musk and X, the only major social media platforms unwilling to comply with government demands to censor speech.
The solution Kerry wants is for Democrats to “win the vote and win the party in power by hoping to win enough votes to be free to enact change.”
The change Kerry, Vice President Kamala Harris and other prominent Democrats want is enough power in Congress and the presidency Unseat the Senate filibuster, pack the Supreme Court, enact an economically devastating Green New Deal, and do it all before the public has any chance to rebel.
Not to be outdone, Canadian Deputy Prime Minister Chrystia Freeland, a long-time World Economic Forum board member, was quoted as saying on Monday:
“Our shrinking glaciers and warming oceans are silently but firmly asking us whether democracies can meet the existential challenge of climate change.”
“Does Capitalist Democracy Still Work?”
Chrystia Freeland, Canada's deputy prime minister and a member of the World Economic Forum's board of directors, expressed doubts about “the ability of democratic societies to meet the existential challenge of climate change.”

no one should be surprised The central governments of both Canada and the United States have moved in increasingly authoritarian directions under current leadership, with both countries citing climate alarmist narratives as justification.
The measure was widely predicted once the COVID-19 pandemic's utility in legitimizing government censorship and restrictions on personal liberties began to wane in 2021.
Frustrated by what they see as the need to restrict freedoms more quickly and undermine democratic means of public response to their actions, These fanatics are now abandoning their mild talking points in favor of more offensive messages.
This new willingness to say the quiet parts out loud should really shock anyone who values their freedom.
