Hurricane Helen will go down as one of the worst natural disasters in U.S. history (so far) and certainly one of the worst natural disasters of the 21st century. While the Florida Panhandle was hit hard as it made landfall, most of the storm's shocking damage was wrought far from the coast in the Appalachian Mountains of eastern Tennessee and western North Carolina. Entire towns were wiped off the face of the earth, and nearly 200 people died. The storm was severe, but the media has been spreading myths about the historical nature of the flood and its cause. As Climate Realism Show staff and special guest Joe Bastadi will explain, human-caused “climate change” has nothing to do with it. Bastardi is WeatherBELL Analytics' chief forecaster and one of the nation's leading hurricane experts and historians, and we're excited to welcome him back to the show.

The Heartland Institute's H. Sterling Burnett, Anthony Watts, Linnea Lueken and Jim Lakely will also cover some of the week's crazy climate news, including how badly electric cars and hurricanes are mixing and who's funding the world's harmful climate warning narrative , whether humans can “guide” hurricanes, etc.

Join us live at 1pm ET so you can leave your questions and comments about the show in the chat.

Now it's turning to politics. The New York Times recently reported. “After years of political consensus on transitioning to clean energy, a ‘green wave’ is beginning to emerge as prices rise and right-wing candidates rise.”

Dr. Benny Peiser of the Global Warming Policy Foundation, who has followed NetZero's efforts for many years, joins us as a special guest.

We'll discuss this topic and review the week's crazy climate news. Tune in live at 1 PM ET (noon CT) to watch the show and leave your own questions in the chat with host Anthony Watts and panelists H. Sterling Burnett and Linnea Lueken.

The program will be archived at WUWT Climate TV, a collection of more than six hundred videos featuring new interviews and analysis from dozens of media sources discussing, debating and analyzing climate science, climate politics and energy policy. Latest content, including topics on temperature, sea levels, polar bears, ocean acidification, extreme weather, censorship, wildfires and more.
