The climate alarmist media seems to act as if the 2024 Northern Hemisphere hurricane season only involves the Atlantic Ocean, and apparently fails to realize that the Pacific Ocean, which is more than twice the size of the Atlantic Ocean, does not cooperate with their political propaganda plans.
Shown below are Northeast and Northwest Pacific data from the Colorado State University Tropical Meteorology Program ACE as of October 9, 2024.
It is obvious from this data that the huge Pacific ACE level has fall There is no intention of cooperating with the media’s climate alarmist campaign, which is focused on driving election year hype and is based solely on exaggerating events occurring in the Atlantic Ocean while ignoring the rest of the world’s northern hemisphere oceans.
By 2024, the global hurricane season will be around 75%, with the Pacific basin combined accounting for only about 41% of total season average ACE levels to date, and of course the climate alarmist propaganda media cabal is not revealing any of this.
As of October 9, 2024 ACE levels in the Northern Hemisphere were only about 70% of the 30-year averageth.
ACE values for the 2024 Atlantic hurricane season as of October 9th 127.6 is shown below and can be found here .
Colorado State University's North Atlantic Basin archives show the six highest ACE values ever recorded in the region: 258.6 in 1933, 245.3 in 2005, 229.6 in 1926, 226.9 in 2004, 224.9 in 2017 and 19503.
The current North Atlantic ACE value for 2024 is 127.8, which is less than half of the highest value recorded in 1933, which means that 2024 will not achieve any close to record ACE value results.
Some of the claims about the impacts of the 2024 Atlantic hurricane season are alarming, and the examples discussed below involve the recent Asheville flood damage.
In a Los Angeles Times op-ed published on October 9, 2024, the author lamented Asheville’s loss of its status as a “climate paradise” due to the impact of Hurricane Helene, stating:
“But Asheville is considered a climate paradise. I always told my family we could never sell our house there. It was completely unthinkable. destroyed first One of the worst climate disasters in American history”.
In fact, there are many of these media articles that refer to Asheville as a “climate paradise,” yet somehow claimed to never suffer the effects of extreme weather.
This claim is simply wrong, as shown in this article and below, which covers the 108-year-old Atlantic hurricane of 1916 that caused horrific flooding damage in Asheville, contradicting what climate alarmists claim “Climate change” has absolutely nothing to do with it.
But the climate alarmist mainstream media will never publicize this reality—at least not in an election year.
