Over the past 140 years, Earth's temperature may have increased by only 0.41 to 0.83°C.
according to a new researchdue to the steady and permanent aging process almost universally observed in thermometers, weather station data have been shown to be non-climatic and erroneously record temperatures higher than the actual temperature.
When the white paint or white plastic of a weather station thermometer ages and darkens, the meter absorbs more solar radiation than it would if the meter were bright white and new. Over a period of just 2 to 5 years, it has been observed that the maximum temperature recorded by the meter is 0.46°C to 0.49°C higher than that of a meter that has not undergone the aging process. This anthropogenic warming is not corrected in modern data sets and accumulates over time—even when the meters are cleaned or repaved every few years.
If these systematic artificial warming errors were corrected rather than ignored, the 140-year (1880-'90 to 2010-'20) GISTEMP global warming trend would plummet from the current estimate of +1.43°C to +0.83°C , a 42% difference. Temperature reduction can be uniform more If a set of conservative assumptions (described in detail in the paper) are removed, it drops from +1.43°C to +0.41°C.

Interestingly, when systematically erroneous temperature data are removed or homogenized at different time intervals (2 years vs. 12 to 30 years, etc.), global temperature trends—indeed, long-term global warming Trends – can be shown as effectively disappearing, depending on the time interval. This can be observed in Figure 7 below.
As this chart shows, the temperature data can be homogenized or adjusted to show any trend or non-trend the chart creator wants to show. The data can be distorted and manipulated to show strong warming, weak warming, or even no warming over the past 140 years.
Perhaps the modern version of global warming is not as unprecedented, or even unusual, as it is claimed.
