U.K. getting ready to welcome hurricane kirkSevere weather conditions are expected, with winds reaching 70 mph.
Shocking weather forecast WX chart Showed storm system from Atlanticgusty winds and peak rainfall could cause widespread damage on Wednesday and Thursday this week.
According to charts, the storm will bring strong winds with peak gusts of up to 75mph in parts of the UK, particularly affecting coastal areas.
As the current hurricane moves across the English Channel, the south coast will be hardest hit.
The latest weather maps, effective at 6 a.m. Thursday, show a strong wind field expanding from the Atlantic Ocean, engulfing Ireland, wellsand Scotland By noon.
As well as strong winds, WX Charts show large areas of the UK are likely to receive significant rainfall, with accumulations of between 30-40mm in 24 hours. More than 100mm of rainfall is possible in southern England.

Winds will continue to increase as the storm system moves eastward, hitting much of the UK, with gusts in excess of 62mph expected in central and northern England.
