Predicted Jargon Decoder: November 3, 2024
BAJA human prediction begins!
notes: Predict the last day of the season! Go to Baja! My goal every year is to end the season with a bang in the Windy City! Sadly, today is looking like a very depressing blast and calm day with northerly winds blowing across the Bay Area.
At Ocean Buoy NW 25g31 and Pt. Reyes NW 29g34 Looks like a really great day,,,
But while the North Pacific high pressure generates coastal winds above 20 degrees, it also pushes the high pressure ridge inland to our north, forming a very strong north-to-south pressure gradient.
This wind is warm, so when it hits the Napa and Sonoma Coast Mountains, it can become turbulent with a lot of vertical movement.
When these wind ripples reach the surface, we see N. BLASTS, but when the ripples rise from the surface, we see deep calm.
If you are going into the water, do not venture far from the shore.
Be extremely careful when flying a kite! !
