Over the past three decades, governments around the world have invested trillions of dollars in the “climate fight” (according to NOAA, a climate trend is defined as the accumulation of weather trends lasting at least 30 years).
However, the allocation and use of these funds remains largely opaque, raising concerns about their effectiveness and accountability. In other words, no one knows where the money actually goes.
At the same time, we have many very wealthy wind and solar companies that benefit hugely from taxpayer dollars at the expense of the environment.
So it's surprising to see headlines like the one above claiming that President-elect Trump will somehow “undermine” efforts to stop climate change. Stop climate change? He is not omnipotent. The climate will change with or without him. It always has been and always will be.
Yet in the three decades that Trump has held power for all but four short years, carbon dioxide emissions have increased even as solar panels have covered vast swaths of land and wind farms have destroyed once-scenic landmarks.
Fossil fuels have proliferated. Climate colonialists are holding back development in Africa and other developing countries.
But a funny thing happened on the way to the end.
Real-world data shows that climate monsters are not responsible for worsening, increasing severity or increasing frequency of weather conditions. Events of any duration remain local, just as they have been throughout history.
Furthermore, the concurrent temperature increases over the past three decades were statistically so small that they fell within the margin of error.
That's because of weather history Do Repeat yourself. Just look at any severe weather event in the past thirty years and you will see that similar and even worse events have occurred in the past.
Look at the past 2,000 years: Earth has gone through a series of climate cycles, including the Roman Warm Period, the Medieval Warm Period, and the subsequent Little Ice Age. These periods have been reconstructed using various methods, providing clear patterns of temperature fluctuations.
The point is, these headlines are used to drive division, stoke fear, and increase people’s anxiety. That sells. No one can control the Earth's climate. Not Trump. Not Argentine President Milley. This is not another useless, expensive UN-backed climate summit. Not by giving $1 trillion to poor countries to lift ourselves out of poverty.
If you have that petty feeling deep inside that you're being controlled by those in power, you've won the booby prize. It's called a “green gift” for good reason. The United Nations and other subservient countries have found the perfect excuse to cheat taxpayers. When they object, the elite media calls them “deniers” in an attempt to shame them.
Also, be wary of alarmist climate models that claim the ability to predict weather conditions a century from now. These computer models can be programmed to produce any desired outcome. Therefore, none of the predictions came true. Most passed without significant notice (except for those posted on “suspicious” sites whose inaccuracies were well documented).
As more and more voters begin to revolt, as they did in the 2024 US election and the last big EU election, politicians will pivot back to another unprovable, unfalsifiable but highly taxable career.
