Chris Wright, CEO of Denver-based fracking company Liberty Energy, has been outspoken in challenging climate change pseudoscience and advocating for sound energy policy.

President/President-elect Trump has named the head of an innovative fracking company to be the next Secretary of Energy.
Chris Wright is CEO of Denver-based fracking company Liberty Energy. Wright’s appointment fits Trump’s new candidate template: Wright is innovative, supports new approaches to energy development and has nothing to do with the deep state.
What's more, for Americans who appreciate accessible, reliable and cheap energy, Wright doesn't buy into the “climate crisis” hysteria.
Progressives' anger only stems from new york times Announcing this draft. The dig at his “lack of government experience” is totally hilarious.
Wright, a self-described “tech nerd turned entrepreneur,” is a media-friendly fossil fuel evangelist who promotes the good news that oil and gas can help lift people out of poverty while disparaging climate science.
In a video posted on LinkedIn last year, Mr Wright declared: “There is no climate crisis and we are not in the midst of an energy transition.”
Wright, who has no political experience, caught Trump's attention with his appearance on Fox News. He also appears frequently in podcasts and social media videos, often using language and imagery associated with progressive causes, linking oil and gas to issues such as the fight for women's equality.
Trump announced Wright's appointment in a statement, praising him as “a leading technologist and entrepreneur in the energy sector.” In addition to leading the Department of Energy, Mr. Wright will be a member of the newly created National Energy Council, he said.
As I said, it is completely in line with the brand concept of Trump 2.0.
Wright founded the company in 2011.
Under his leadership, Liberty Energy achieved a major milestone in September 2021, achieving 24 hours of continuous pumping time and zero non-productive time for oil companies in the Permian Basin (an area that the legal community should be familiar with by now) . It is currently the fourth largest oilfield services company in North America, with annual revenue of US$41 billion in 2022.
What Qualifications Does Biden’s Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm Have? She served as Michigan governor and worked to impose sustainability priorities on auto companies. Let's not forget how she ran the department: declaring war on our appliances and using her privilege to jump to the front of the charging station queue.
Wright isn’t afraid to challenge climate virtue signaling, either. In 2021, Liberty Energy launched a campaign praising high-end sportswear company The North Face for using petroleum products in its clothing while criticizing its stance on sustainability. The energy company commissioned advertising boards and videos highlighting The North Face's products' reliance on fossil fuels.
The billboards are incredible.
I have always longed for representatives of the fossil fuel industry to fight against the underhanded tactics being used by the promoters of the climate crisis. In the LinkedIn video, Wright said he would be a champion for smart energy policies.
“There is no climate crisis… and we are not in the midst of an energy transition.
“Without carbon dioxide, humans and all complex life on Earth would be impossible. Therefore, the term ‘carbon pollution’ is outrageous.
“Carbon dioxide does absorb infrared radiation, causing warming. But calling carbon dioxide 'pollution' is like calling water and oxygen two other irreplaceable molecules in life on Earth.
“There is no such thing as clean energy or dirty energy. All energy sources have positive and negative impacts on the world.
Energy enables all human activity and is too important to devalue the conversation with these 5 deceptive, alarmist terms… climate crisis, energy transition, carbon pollution, clean energy and dirty energy.
I wish Wright well as he undoes the damage done under Obama and Biden.
