In August, the BBC published a story about a Canadian worker who was killed by two polar bears. [emphasis, links added]
The article reads: “According to the Canadian government, there are approximately 17,000 polar bears living in the country, accounting for approximately two-thirds of the global polar bear population.
'The species is decliningscientists attribute this to the loss of sea ice due to global warming, shrinking their hunting and breeding areas.
There is no doubt that BBC World does believe that polar bears are becoming extinct. After all, this is the tenet of the global warming cult.
However, far from declining, The world's polar bear population has tripled since the 1960s due to a hunting ban in 1973.
The BBC has now officially upheld the complaint I submitted at the time and posted it on their complaints page:

The article reported the news that a worker was attacked and killed by two polar bears in Nunavut, northern Canada. It stated that such attacks are rare and continued as follows:
According to the Canadian government, about 17,000 polar bears live in the country, accounting for about two-thirds of the world's polar bear population. The species is in decline, which scientists attribute to the loss of sea ice due to global warming, shrinking its hunting and breeding areas.
Research conducted by ECU confirms the consensus among scientists that climate change will lead to a decrease in sea ice, which could have long-term adverse effects on polar bears and overall populations.
There are also considerable challenges in obtaining reliable data. However, evidence from the Canadian Wildlife Service and the International Union for Conservation of Nature’s Polar Bear Specialist Group appears to indicate The numbers are currently stable overall and have not declined as stated.
