Despite a $3 billion commitment, only 93 of the 3,000 USPS electric trucks promised have been delivered

Postmaster General Louis DeJoy's Bizarre and Frankly Childish Behavior [pictured above] Last week's congressional testimony wasn't the U.S. Postal Service's worst moment. It arrived in two days. [emphasis, links added]

Rep. Rich McCormick, R-Ga., told DeJoy that he “shares responsibility for the collapse and lack of accountability” of the Postal Service.

DeJoy countered that “this Congress is responsible for its collapse” and insisted he was “trying to fix” the post office.

He then told McCormick “you're talking to yourself,” and put his hands over his ears like a monkey who “hears no evil.” (See for yourself here.)

As shocking as it was, DeJoy's antics were swept under the rug as The Washington Post reported. Even as the Biden administration pledges to spend $3 billion to buy electric delivery trucks for the post office, the contractor it hired, Oshkosh, has so far delivered only 93 of the 3,000 electric trucks it was supposed to deliver.

“The Postal Service's e-mail trucks are well behind schedule,” the Post said. “These delays put Biden’s climate goals at risk.” (In the opinion of the Washington Post, concerns about the phantom dangers of “climate change” outweigh the federal government’s gross incompetence.)

White House's 'historic' move culminates in delivery of 60,000 next-generation delivery trucks to post office “Beset by manufacturing incidents and supplier infighting,” the Post said.

Not building 80 per day as one would expect, The company is piecing together one.

Well, maybe it's not the post office's fault. Biden should probably even relax a little on this front. He has no direct connection to the manufacturer's troubles.

    Still, the thread exists.

Biden could have used those dollars to buy mail trucks that could be built and delivered on time, But the car he chose to buy will, in the words of the Washington Post, become an “emblem” of his “industrial and climate agenda.”

Practical and principled management of taxpayers' funds was clearly never considered. It's all about Biden's legacy.

We're not letting the postal service go completely either.

DeJoy could have waged a fight to force Washington to buy trucks from companies that make tens of thousands of vehicles a month and produce mail trucks with only minor changes to their manufacturing processes.

They don't need to be the “next generation” of simple postal delivery. they can be like plain and basic More than 600,000 simple jeeps were produced by various companies for World War II.

It’s a scandal not unlike Biden’s inability to build the electric vehicle charging stations he promised. As of last month, After allocating $7.5 billion to the program in 2021, only eight charging stations were built, with 214 charging ports.

Biden boasted earlier this year that he would build 500,000 of these planes.
