The chance of rain will continue on Saturday, with daytime highs near 49 degrees.
Sunday will be wet, with a 70% chance of rainfall, and temperatures will rise, with a maximum of 59 degrees.
When work begins this week, there is a 50% chance of rainfall and a high near 60 degrees.
Baltimore City activated winter shelters on Christmas Eve morning. Many warming shelters will be open during the day, and residents seeking overnight shelter can call the city's shelter hotline at 443-984-9540.
Baltimore County's winterization shelters — the Eastern Family Resource Center at 9150 Franklin Square Drive in Rosedale and the Community Health Center at 1811 Woodlawn Drive in Woodlawn — are also activated for the season. Homeless residents can call 410-887-8463 to speak with a screener about shelter beds.
