Climate change aims to promote school results and work prospects: Zurich-Mandala Climate Risk Index
Zurich Australia and Mandala
03/02/2025According to a milestone report, extreme heat will reduce the academic achievements of Australian students by up to 7 %, which may be converted into a $ 73,000 losses in their lives.

It is estimated that by 2060, a large amount of heat in some areas of the country is expected to reduce writing, spelling, grammar, and punctuation symbols, and the algorithm of arithmetic will exceed 7 %. Students in the north collar and Queensland students are unpredictable.
At present, two -thirds of Australian schools are facing high climatic risks. By 2060, in the case of intermediate climate, this will increase to 84 % of schools and warms 2 degrees Celsius.
It is estimated that by 2060, Australian students are expected to experience the heat wave sky for 34 years.

ADAM TRIGGS, partner of Mandala partner, said:
“High class temperature can reduce children's cognitive ability and cognitive functions, thereby harming students to make decisions, processes, and retain information.
“With the temperature rising in 2060, our modeling shows that this may be equivalent to $ 73,000 of lifelong income, which is equivalent to lacking a whole year's employment.
“Perhaps the most disturbing is how the climate risk exacerbates existing unequal phenomena. The same school that has faced the disadvantages of social education is usually the most affected school, which has a double burden on the weak community.

New South Wales and Queensland's education systems have more changes than climate.
Due to the out of control's bullying, we pulled our children out of Queensland's national system. Last week, a visiting education inspector approached me and asked me if I had a problem. I explained that we were pulling the child out, why. I guess the school teacher gave the inspector a different story, because a few days later I made me very angry-a teacher must find that I talked to the inspector and made it clear that the inspector's information was coming. Essence None of them lost their jobs because of the lying inspectors.
In addition, there is a big problem with experienced teachers in remote communities. New qualified teachers have been forced to serve in inland areas for several years, but there is real risks to send safety to such schools, so I suspect that they will stay for a long time. Many inland cities in Queensland and New South Wales have suffered unparalleled violence and gang violence, as well as high -level alcohol and drug abuse. Towns like Alice Springs often appear in northern territory in Australia's news, but there are many chaotic remote towns rarely caused news, maybe because they do not serve high -quality airports.
I saw one of these troublesome towns in New South Wales during the road trip in 2023. The town rarely publishes news, and they do not have regular aviation services. I talked to a person who was repairing electric vehicles. He was laughing-repair the charger made him rich, and the gang had been destroying it. There is no gasoline station in the town, and the windows of many stores have been boarded. The EV charger maintenance personnel have been locked the door of the truck, even if he is only 3 feet away from the truck. Within 5 minutes I stopped, the two teenagers took a step along my car. I haven't wandered for a long time.
I am not promoting those who persist. Although I can't stand working conditions, I still try to provide students with education-as far as me, these people are heroes.
However, there are many problems with Australia education to solve, which has nothing to do with climate change.
Moreover, even if climate change is indeed a problem, no matter what happens global, air conditioning and some buildings renewal are everything that can make poverty -stricken classrooms needed.
If you want to see how bad the gang violence in certain inland cities in Australia is, the following videos provide some insights.
